AMCLR Farming is a family-owned agricultural business based in Kanoneiland, along the Orange River near Upington in the Northern Cape.

Our farming operation focuses on vineyard production for the raisin industry, combining generations of agricultural values with a commitment to responsible farming and long-term sustainability.

For our family, farming is more than a business. It is our livelihood, our connection to the land, and something we are building for future generations.

Our Story

AMCLR Farming was established with a long-term vision: to build a sustainable family farming enterprise that can be carried forward to future generations. Based in Kanoneiland along the Orange River, our farm forms part of a region with a long agricultural heritage, where vineyard farming remains an important part of the local economy and way of life.

Our focus is not only on the harvest of today, but on strengthening the farm for tomorrow. Through responsible vineyard management, the planned renewal of ageing vineyard blocks and continued investment in the land, we are working to improve productivity while protecting the long-term sustainability of the farming operation.

What We Grow

AMCLR Farming specialises in vineyard production, with a focus on Sultana grapes grown in the Orange River region. The warm, dry climate of the Northern Cape, together with established irrigation and generations of farming knowledge, provides favourable conditions for producing quality grapes for the raisin industry.

Our vineyards are managed with a long-term approach. As older vineyard blocks reach the end of their productive lifespan, we are progressively renewing and re-establishing them to support improved production, quality and sustainability for future generations.

Our Approach

We believe responsible farming means looking beyond a single season. Our approach combines practical farming experience with careful vineyard management, efficient use of resources and ongoing investment in the land. We aim to maintain productive vineyards while protecting the agricultural potential of the farm for the next generation.

As a family farming business, we value resilience, responsible growth and the relationships that connect our farm to the wider agricultural community of the Orange River region.
